Provence Countryside Villa Wedding
Provence, France
Jenna & Chuck
This all American couple wanted to tie the knot in France because they always had the most amazing time visiting over the years. They wanted something private, intimate, and tailored just for them. After a little deliberation, they picked a the perfect Provence countryside villa wedding venue in a quiet little town in the South of France. This venue offered it all with beautiful stone walls, large gardens and a labyrinth of rooms all over the estate.
Most of the family and close friends stayed in the venue all week as they soaked in the sun by the pool, played tennis on the courts, or just relaxed in the hot tub. There were endless places to pass the time in this stunning location. The rest of the guests enjoyed a quiet stay in Ales, a small town close by. Here they really learned the Provencal way of taking it slow and soaking in the little moments. The week was packed with fun adventures like trips to the famous Provence market and visits to vineyards.
The gals got ready in the master suite. They were all super excited for the day and munched on local cheeses and fruits from the market as they had their hair and makeup done.
The ceremony was held in front of the pool with countryside views all around them. The celebrants were family members so the vows were custom to the couple and a few guests read pieces from their favorite books to wish the could well wishes.
After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktails by the pétanque court with French appetizers and fresh cheeses. They all enjoyed the hot Provence summer and sipped drinks until the couple came back from their couple photos.
Everyone headed back by the pool for a 4-course dinner and a molten chocolate dessert served with hot alcohol to melt it. This was a super cool touch!
The friends and family surrounded the couple as the French wedding cake made of macaroons was served with sparklers! Everyone tried their favorite flavors before starting to dance the night away.
The DJ really kicked it up a notch at this event. Since everyone was already a tight-knit group the dancing started immediately! Before you knew it, guests were taking a dip and dancing in the pool with their drinks! Because this venue was privatized, and it had quite a bit of land surrounding it, there was no noise ordinance! So the party really went all night long!
Around midnight, out came the famous post-wedding cheese board with tea, coffee, and cocktails served as well. That night all of the guests took home a very special bottle of wine, chosen by the couple and rested up for the post-wedding brunch.
The brunch buffet was really epic with everything you would ever need to refuel before lounging by the pool. This Provence wedding was perfectly intimate and a true private escape to France for everyone!
Safe travels back to this American duo!
