Log Cabin & Lace Wedding
Chamonix, France
Anwen & Peter
For this international couple, coming from America and Wales while living in Geneva, what better destination than Chamonix. Their love for the mountains and skiing brought them to say I do in their second home, the French Alps!
The couple chose to have a summer mountain wedding based on their burning desire to have part of the wedding weekend up at altitude. It was a priority that being up in the mountains in the heart of the outdoors they love so much was part of the experience they shared with their guests.
So first things first, this international couple took their first look photos overlooking a glacier standing in front of Lacs des Gaillands using nothing but nature for their surreal backdrop.
The bride’s intricate lace gown looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle on her mom’s arm while the groom’s father played a moving violin piece bringing tears to everyone’s eyes. These two were married in Chamonix’s 1860s quaint chapel in city-center then headed to a chalet inspired reception venue overlooking a golf course with 360 mountain views. The reception and party all night long as they shared a beautiful evening amongst their loved ones.
They ended their wedding weekend by having an altitude brunch overlooking the stunning jagged skyline. Guests were whisked up in a cable car up to 2000m in altitude. Once at the top they were greeted with drinks and regional mountain specialties. Lingering with a glass of bubbles and gazing at the huge cascading glaciers was a sight many have never experienced before!
It was a magical mountain wedding indeed!
