The hilltop village of Gordes is such a picturesque location. This historic gem in Provence has attracted many artists over the years and has really become a time capsule to the past.
This little French village was so special to Lexie since she grew up visiting her grandparent’s vacation home nearby. She loved sharing new memories here with the love of her life.
They explored together and took photos at all of the famous locations. Located in the center of town is an 11th-century medieval castle called Château de Gordes. The couple strolled through the center past the stone fountain admiring the grandeur and architecture of every detail.
They headed down one of the numerous paths that take you up and down the hilltop town. There is nothing more pleasant than getting lost in the winding Gordes streets. There are so many homes built into the hillside and small little shops with interesting artsy finds.
At every turn in Gordes, you will be presented with lovely views of the Provence valley and there are spots with benches if you decide you want to take a moment to soak in all in. This American couple did just that. Lexie twirling in her Provence sundress they cherished this fleeting intimate moment before the busy wedding weekend ahead.
The guests all came to the welcome cocktail at the bastide in at their leisure as they arrived from the airports. They sipped cocktails and lemonades on the sunny Provence terrace. The snacked on appetizers and were greeted by the shining couple.
After this welcome cocktail for all of the guests, the couple brought just their family and wedding party to a Michelin starred restaurant welcome dinner.
The rest of the guests stayed at the hotel had a stargazing and DJ event after the welcome cocktail ended.
