This destination wedding weekend started with a beachfront welcome dinner at a private restaurant on the Med. It was really a wonderful way to get the guests mingling before the big “I Do” while enjoying some of the best views along the glamorous Cote d’Azur.
Since guests were traveling from all over the world from as far as Columbia, Malaysia, Australia, Romania, China, and Israel it was essential to have something planned that was easy for everyone once they arrived. This seaside dinner was casual with an unofficial start time so guests could come when they were ready.
Half of the international guest list stayed at a nearby luxury hotel just a few steps from the beach, while the other half were staying about 15 minutes away in Nice. We organized private transfers in 6 passenger cars to get everyone safely to the beachfront welcome dinner.
The wedding weekend fell on the same date as the Ironman World Championships. Organizing transportation on their own would have been such a nightmare for the guests due to road closures throughout the city centre and Promenade des Anglais. Instead, our thoughtful couple hired the cars to run on a loop so guests could come and go as they pleased without any stress.
The seaside, on the beach, the exclusive location was ideal for easing into the weekend of festivities. A dramatic sky, warm air, and calm waters made for a lovely beach sunset. The guests not only enjoyed the stunning surroundings but the regional cuisine as well for their beachfront welcome dinner.
The beachfront welcome dinner spread included an array of fresh fruit, colorful organic salads, and seasonal vegetables. The freshly caught fish was grilled on the BBQ and there was a carving station too. Oh, and can we tell you about the dessert? Oh my goodness…! Creme brulé, chocolate mousse, fresh fruit tartlets, and homemade sorbet. The buffet-style dining really had everyone flowing and mingling which made the guests really comfortable to get to know one another.
The 5-piece jazz ensemble created an atmosphere that was chic, relaxed, classy and chill all at the same time! Lizzy and her gentlemen played during welcome cocktails, through dinner, and even motivated some impromptu dancing as the day faded and stars began to sparkle in the water’s reflection.
Michael & Neil’s luxurious wedding weekend had officially begun, next stop their stunning nuptials at the Villa Ephrussi.
The rest of the destination wedding weekend also had amazing food. The wedding reception had a 5-course meal and the goodbye brunch at the Royal Riviera had the most beautiful spread we have ever seen! You have to check out the rest of this wedding!
